Ingredients

  • All-Purpose Flour (1 ½ cups) – For the perfect pancake texture.
  • Baking Powder (1 tsp) – Helps the pancakes rise.
  • Salt (¼ tsp) – Enhances flavors.
  • Sugar (2 tbsp) – Adds a slight sweetness.
  • Eggs (2 large) – Binds the batter.
  • Milk (¾ cup) – Makes the batter smooth.
  • Vanilla Extract (1 tsp) – Adds a warm aroma.
  • Apples (2 medium, peeled and thinly sliced) – The star ingredient!
  • Cinnamon (½ tsp, optional) – For extra warmth and spice.
  • Vegetable Oil (for frying) – Ensures crispy edges.
  • Powdered Sugar (for dusting, optional) – A classic finishing touch.

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Batter
In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, sugar, and cinnamon (if using). In another bowl, beat the eggs, then mix in the milk and vanilla extract. Slowly combine the wet and dry ingredients, stirring until smooth.

Step 2: Add the Apples
Gently fold in the thinly sliced apples so they are evenly coated in the batter.

Step 3: Heat the Oil
Heat about 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat.

Step 4: Cook the Pancakes
Spoon about ¼ cup of batter per pancake into the skillet. Flatten slightly with a spoon. Cook for 2–3 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through.

Step 5: Drain and Serve
Place cooked pancakes on a paper towel-lined plate to absorb excess oil. Sprinkle with powdered sugar or serve with honey, jam, or yogurt.

Notes

Use Tart Apples – They balance the sweetness.

Don’t Overmix – Stir until just combined for fluffy pancakes.

Cook Over Medium Heat – Prevents burning while ensuring a fluffy center.

Drain on Paper Towels – Removes excess oil for a perfect texture.
