Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped dill pickles
  • 2 tablespoons pickle juice
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Chopped fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)
  • Chopped nuts or crushed pretzels (optional, for coating)

Instructions

Step 1: Make the Cheese Mixture

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, chopped dill pickles, pickle juice, Dijon mustard (if using), garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
  2. Mix everything together until well combined and smooth. You can use a hand mixer or a spoon to stir it together.

Step 2: Form the Cheese Balls
3. Scoop out about 1 tablespoon of the mixture and roll it into a ball with your hands. Repeat until all of the mixture is used.

Step 3: Coat the Cheese Balls
4. If you’d like to coat your cheese balls, roll them in chopped nuts (such as pecans or walnuts) or crushed pretzels for extra crunch. Alternatively, you can roll them in fresh chopped parsley for a colorful touch.

Step 4: Chill
5. Place the cheese balls on a plate or tray and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to firm up before serving.

Step 5: Serve and Enjoy
6. Serve these dill pickle cheese balls with crackers, chips, or veggies for dipping.

Notes

  • Use full-fat cream cheese for a creamier texture.
  • Chill them well before serving to help them hold their shape.
  • Customize the flavors – If you love extra pickle flavor, add more chopped dill pickles or pickle juice.
