Ingredients
- 12 oz fettuccine pasta
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 beef sausages, sliced
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
Instructions
Step 1: Cook the Fettuccine
- In a large pot, cook the fettuccine according to package instructions, draining when al dente. Reserve about 1 cup of pasta water for later.
Step 2: Cook the Sausages
- While the pasta cooks, heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add the sliced beef sausages and cook for 4-5 minutes, turning occasionally until they’re browned and cooked through. Remove the sausages from the skillet and set them aside.
Step 3: Make the Garlic Parmesan Sauce
- In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute, until fragrant.
- Pour in the heavy cream and bring it to a simmer. Stir occasionally, letting the sauce thicken for about 3-4 minutes.
- Stir in the Parmesan cheese and Italian seasoning, and continue stirring until the sauce is smooth and creamy. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
Step 4: Combine the Pasta and Sausages
- Add the cooked fettuccine to the sauce, tossing to coat the pasta with the creamy sauce. If the sauce is too thick, add a bit of the reserved pasta water to reach your desired consistency.
- Stir the cooked beef sausages back into the skillet, mixing everything together.
Step 5: Serve and Garnish
- Divide the creamy garlic Parmesan fettuccine into bowls, garnish with fresh parsley (optional), and serve immediately.
Notes
Pasta Water Magic – Don’t skip reserving some pasta water. It helps loosen up the sauce and makes it silky.
Grated Parmesan – Use freshly grated Parmesan cheese for the best flavor and texture.
Adjust the Creaminess – Add more or less cream depending on how rich you like the sauce.
Beef Sausage Substitutes – Feel free to use chicken sausage or Italian sausage if preferred.
