Description

These mini apple fritter bites are crispy on the outside, soft and fluffy on the inside, and packed with cinnamon-spiced apples. Perfect for a quick treat or breakfast snack!

Ingredients

Scale

For the Fritter Batter:

  • 1 cup (125g) all-purpose flour
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp ground cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 1 large egg
  • ½ cup (120ml) milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup (1 medium) apple, finely diced (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp work great!)
  • Oil for frying (vegetable or canola)

For the Glaze:

  • 1 cup (120g) powdered sugar
  • 2 tbsp milk
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

Step 1: Prep the Batter

In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
In another bowl, whisk the egg, milk, and vanilla extract.
Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
Fold in the diced apples.

Step 2: Fry the Fritter Bites

Heat 2 inches of oil in a deep pan to 350°F (175°C).
Using a small cookie scoop or spoon, drop batter into the hot oil in small portions.
Fry for 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown.
Remove and drain on a paper towel-lined plate.

Step 3: Glaze & Serve

Whisk together powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla to make the glaze.
Dip or drizzle the warm fritter bites with glaze.

Notes

Apple Choice? Tart apples (Granny Smith) add balance, but any firm apple works!
No Frying? Try baking at 375°F (190°C) for 12-15 minutes.
Want Extra Flavor? Add a pinch of nutmeg or drizzle with caramel.
